Born and raised in Brantford, my passion for hair and aesthetics ignited at a young age, shaping my career path. After graduating high school in 2010, I attended Marvel Beauty School, where I earned my diploma in 2011.

My professional journey began at a Brantford salon, where I was surrounded by remarkable women whose influence I cherish to this day. It was here that I formed lifelong connections, including meeting my wonderful husband, Mason, through a coworker. We married in 2013, marking a beautiful new chapter in my life.

​

At the salon, I expanded my services to include makeup and spray tanning. In 2019, we welcomed our son, Gavin, into the world. The challenges of pregnancy led me to step back from my career temporarily. During this period, I joined my sister’s company, Purple Bean Media, working from home as a Content Creator while providing beauty services to close friends and family.

As my son started school, I felt a strong desire to return to the salon, balancing my professional aspirations with motherhood. I transformed a fixer-upper space beside our home into a cozy, welcoming office. Despite initial doubts, a professional assured me that with the right modifications, it could be the perfect salon space.

This marked the beginning of Emily's Glam Room. I researched new services, enrolled in courses, and began contacting brands. I registered my business, purchased products and equipment, and, leveraging my social media skills, reached out to my community. The overwhelming support I received has been heartwarming, and I’m excited to share my journey and services with you.
